Simple Past Regular

El pasado simple describe acciones completadas en un momento específico del pasado. Los verbos regulares añaden -ed. Hay alrededor de 200 verbos irregulares comunes con formas pasadas únicas que deben aprenderse de forma individual.

Present Continuous Regular

El presente continuo describe acciones que están sucediendo en este momento o situaciones temporales. Se forma con am/is/are + verbo-ing. También se utiliza para arreglos futuros definitivos.

She is speaking to a client at the moment. — Ella está hablando con un cliente en este momento.

Past Continuous Regular

El pasado continuo describe acciones que estaban en progreso en un momento específico del pasado, a menudo interrumpidas por otro evento. Se forma con was/were + verbo en gerundio.

Present Perfect Regular

El presente perfecto conecta el pasado con el presente. Describe experiencias, eventos recientes o situaciones que comenzaron en el pasado y continúan ahora. Se forma con have/has + participio pasado.

Past Perfect Regular

El pluscuamperfecto describe una acción completada antes de otro evento pasado: el pasado del pasado. Se forma con had + participio pasado. Siempre implica un punto de referencia en el pasado.

She had spoken to him before the meeting started. — Ella había hablado con él antes de que comenzara la reunión.

Future Simple Regular

El futuro simple expresa predicciones, decisiones espontáneas y promesas. Se forma con will + infinitivo base. La forma contraída won't es muy común en el inglés hablado.

Future Continuous Regular

El futuro perfecto describe una acción que se completará antes de un momento específico en el futuro. Se forma con will have + participio pasado. Es común con expresiones temporales como para entonces, para cuando.

Conditional Regular

El condicional describe situaciones hipotéticas y sus resultados. Se forma con 'would' + infinitivo base. Se utiliza en cláusulas condicionales, solicitudes corteses y en el discurso indirecto sobre eventos futuros.

She would speak more if she had the chance. — Ella hablaría más si tuviera la oportunidad.
